Klopp gets first job after leaving Liverpool
Coach Jurgen Klopp has his first new job after leaving Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 season.
The German tactician confirmed he has become an honorary ambassador for the LFC Foundation – Liverpool’s official charity.
Speaking to reporters, Klopp said: “The LFC Foundation does an incredible job in the community, both in the city of Liverpool and beyond. I’m really proud to continue working with them and to be named the first honorary ambassador of the LFC Foundation. I look forward to seeing what we can do when I have more time.”
Klopp has ended his 8 and a half year journey at The Reds with many beautiful memories, in which he won 8 titles with the team, notably 1 Premier League and 1 Champions League. The 57-year-old strategist emphasized that he will retire from football coaching for 1 year, while also ruling out the possibility of one day leading another club in England.
A few days ago, there was information that Klopp was contacted by the US Soccer Federation to invite him to lead the team after coach Gregg Berhalter was fired due to poor results at Copa America 2024 – where the US team stopped at the group stage. However, Klopp refused and stuck to his plan to rest for 1 year.
If nothing changes, fans will see Klopp on the bench from the 2025/26 season.
