Deal concluded: Arsenal ready to spend £65M negotiating with Newcastle on striker Alexander Isak’s deal
Alexander Isak has spoken out on his future at Newcastle amid links to Arsenal.
The Sweden international enjoyed a superb season with 25 goals across all competitions – 21 of those coming in the Premier League.
His form in front of goal has caught the attention of a number of Europe’s top teams, including Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, who are keen to land a striker in summer.
However, Isak says has ‘no thoughts’ on his future insisting he is enjoying his time with the Magpies despite them missing out on European football.
Speaking to Swedish outlet Fotballskanalen, he said: ‘I am enjoying myself at Newcastle, and I had the best season in my career — that should not be underestimated.

Arsenal have been linked with the Sweden international as they search for a new striker’I love everything about the club; the fans, and the city.
‘It (my future) is not something I will speculate about, I have no thoughts on leaving. There has been no talk about it at the club and I have received no information that the could would have to sell me.’
Back in the January window of 2022, Arsenal registered significant interest in Isak while he was at Sociedad but failed to reach an agreement with the Spanish club.
A few months later, Newcastle were able to sign the striker but he’s since remained on Arsenal’s radar.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe was in April adamant they have no intention to sell Isak, who is the club’s record signing at £63million.
‘He’s an outstanding talent and no one connected with Newcastle would want to lose him,’ said the head coach.

Newcastle fans could be encouraged by Arsenal’s interest in RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, who favours a move to north London.
Man United and Chelsea are also interested in the 20-year-old, who scored 18 goals in all competitions this season.
