Plane Crashes Directly into Car on the Road, Explodes, Leaving Only One Survivor

A plane crash on the afternoon of November 5 at Falcon Field Airport in Mesa, Arizona, claimed multiple lives.

Officials reported that five people, including one child, lost their lives when a small aircraft broke through the airport’s fencing and collided with a car during takeoff at the Arizona airport on November 5 (local time).

According to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the Honda HA-420 jet crashed around 4:40 p.m. at Falcon Field Airport. Speaking to CNN, the NTSB stated, “Preliminary information indicates the plane collided with the airport perimeter fence and a car parked outside.”

Mesa Fire and Medical Department spokesperson Marissa Ramirez-Ramos confirmed that five people were killed in the accident.

The Mesa Police Department identified four people who died on the plane: Spencer Lindahl (43), Rustin Randall (48), Drew Kimball (44), and Graham Kimball (12), all residents of Arizona. A fifth person survived the crash and is currently hospitalized with severe burns.

The driver of the car hit by the plane also died, although authorities are withholding their identity pending further information.

A witness, Joshua Golabi, told CNN that the plane crashed through a metal fence and “several concrete walls.” Golabi, a pilot himself, did not directly witness the crash but heard it. The plane and car were both completely destroyed on impact.

Golabi shared, “We were just about to board our flight when we heard an explosion and saw a plume of smoke. This is a heartbreaking incident and a stark reminder for all pilots to always ensure maximum safety when flying.”

The crash remains under investigation.
