Robbie and her fellow Aussie Brenton Thwaites received AIF’s award for breakthrough actors of 2014. The star studded event was held at at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica.
Robbie wore a white strapless dress and white pumps to the event. 
She styled her hair in a loose crown braid and kept her accessories to a minimum, wearing only a pair of bar drop earrings. 
Her outfit was a hit on the red carpet. But Robbie encountered a fashion emergency as she walked up to the stage to accept her award. The 24-year-old’s Louboutin heel broke!
“Breakthrough honoree @MargotRobbie had to take off her shoes after her heel broke #AiFAwards,” writer Andrea Seikaly captioned a photo she tweeted of Robbie holding her heels Sunday night.
The loss of a heel wasn’t enough to ruin the Focus star’s evening, though. Robbie held her shoes in her hand for the duration of her speech and was all smiles for the rest of the night!
