Arsenal open to sale of 21yo wanted by 2 European Cubs
Arsenal‘s 21-year-old forward, Nathan Butler-Oyedeji, has emerged as a transfer target for Belgian Pro League clubs Standard Liege and KAS Eupen.
The London-born striker, who is eligible to represent Nigeria, England, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at international level, is yet to break into Arsenal’s first team and could be seeking a move to secure regular playing time.

Butler-Oyedeji joined Arsenal’s Hale End Academy at the age of eight and turned professional in 2021. Despite showing promise in the youth ranks, he has struggled to make an impact during loan spells at Accrington Stanley and Cheltenham Town. However, he returned to Arsenal in January and rediscovered his form, scoring six goals and assisting two in 14 Premier League 2 appearances.

The versatile forward’s impressive performances for the development squad, particularly in the play-offs against Manchester United and Chelsea, have caught the attention of the Belgian clubs. Both Standard Liege and Eupen are reportedly keen on securing his services on a permanent deal before the transfer deadline.
For Butler-Oyedeji, a move to Belgium could offer the opportunity to kick-start his senior career and gain valuable first-team experience. With Arsenal seemingly open to letting him go, a transfer appears to be the most likely outcome this summer. He is currently valued at around €100k.
Will he seize the opportunity to shine in the Belgian Pro League or remain at Arsenal in hopes of eventually breaking into the first team? Only time will tell.
