Cristiano Ronaldo Shares Photo with Georgina Rodríguez and Their Kids as He Celebrates Portuguese Mother’s Day

Cristiano Ronaldo is celebrating all of the mothers in his life!
The soccer star, 39, posted a tribute to his girlfriend, Georgina Rodríguez, and his mother, Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, in celebration of Portuguese Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 5.
He captioned a carousel of images on Instagram: “Feliz dia da mãe para as melhores do mundo ❤️,” which translates to “Happy Mother’s Day to the best in the world ❤️.”
The first photo in the gallery is a shot of Ronaldo and Rodríguez, 30, posing on a boardwalk with all of their children. The whole family was dressed in casual clothing, with the ocean and sunset providing a stunning backdrop.

Ronaldo posed with his mother in two of the photos. They sat on top of a statue of a lion when Ronaldo appeared to be a young teenager in one image, and the athlete wrapped his arms around his mother in a more recent photo as they smiled for the camera.
Ronaldo is dad to five children. The athlete welcomed Cristiano Jr., 13, via a surrogate in 2010. His twins Eva Maria and Mateo, 6, were born in June 2017, also via surrogate. Weeks after the twins’ arrival, Ronaldo announced that he welcomed a daughter named Alana Martina, also 6, with Rodríguez in July 2017. The couple had been publicly dating since early 2017.

After revealing they were expecting twins in October 2021, the Al-Nassar FC player and the model announced in April 2022 that one of the twins, a baby boy named Angel, had died.

“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel,” Ronaldo wrote in a statement on Instagram at the time. “Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”

Ronaldo and Rodríguez’s youngest child is Angel’s twin sister, Bella, 1.
Before his Mother’s Day tribute, Ronaldo shared a video of a beach day with his four youngest kids on Instagram in March. “Close to heaven 💙,” he captioned the post.
