Euro 2024 is considered the last major tournament for 39-year-old superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in the Portuguese national team. Ronaldo himself admitted that his “football time” is running out. Therefore, he has plans to prepare for the future after retiring from the pitch.
According to CNN Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo completed the purchase of 10% of Vista Alegre Atlantis (SGPS) on June 14. Along with that is an agreement to purchase an additional 30% of shares in the coming days.
In addition, Ronaldo and SGPS have agreed to establish a 50-50 joint venture in the Middle East and Asia. This cooperation aims to promote the 200-year-old Vista Alegre brand in Portugal, along with the Bordallo Pinheiro brand, known for its ceramics inspired by the 19th-century Portuguese artist of the same name.
Not only becoming a shareholder of SGPS, Ronaldo has also just opened a hair transplant clinic in Barcelona. The company was co-founded by Cristiano Ronaldo and Portuguese businessman Paulo Ramos. They are currently finalizing operations to open more hair transplant centers in Europe and the world.
Hair transplant is now a solution to combat hair loss caused by male hormones. Therefore, the need to use this service is becoming more and more popular among both men and women. Seeing that, Ronaldo immediately invested to make a profit.
Ronaldo is also currently investing in many real estate projects in Portugal and Europe. Although he has been investing for a long time, in the past two years, Ronaldo has stepped up his business. According to estimates, Ronaldo’s net worth is around 500 million USD.
Ronaldo has played in six Euros since 2004, making 25 appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing nine assists. He helped Portugal win Euro 2016. To date, Ronaldo has scored 130 goals in 207 appearances for Portugal in all competitions.
Ahead of Portugal ‘s opening match against the Czech Republic on June 19, Ronaldo told ESPN: “I believe this generation deserves to win a championship in a tournament of this magnitude. Semi-finals? I hope we can go further. But we have to go step by step, showing our best ability. The whole Portuguese team is ready for the campaign to win the Euro 2024 gold cup.”
