Hong Hwa Yeon must choose between love and revenge on SBS’s “Buried Hearts”!
“Buried Hearts” tells the story of a man who manages to hack a political slush fund account worth 2 trillion won (approximately $1.4 billion) and the man who kills him without knowing he’s been hacked—thus accidentally losing the entire 2 trillion won. Park Hyung Sik stars as Seo Dong Joo, the leader of the Daesan Group chairman’s Public Affairs team.

Previously on “Buried Hearts,” Yeo Eun Nam (Hong Hwa Yeon) hid the fact that she was the granddaughter of the Daesan Group chairman from Seo Dong Joo, and they started a romantic relationship without his knowing her identity. But on the day that Seo Dong Joo planned to propose to Yeo Eun Nam, he was shocked to see her walking down the aisle with another man.
In order to embark on her quest of uncovering the truth behind her father’s death, Yeo Eun Nam agreed to a strategic marriage with Yum Jang Sun (Heo Joon Ho)’s nephew in return for shares in the company. Although she had real feelings for Seo Dong Joo, she chose vengeance over love.
However, Yeo Eun Nam found herself wavering when Seo Dong Joo—who had mysteriously gone missing—reappeared without his memories. Seeing Seo Dong Joo collapse in front of her, Yeo Eun Nam couldn’t help becoming emotional.
With Yeo Eun Nam once again facing a difficult choice between love and revenge, newly released stills from the drama’s next episode capture her lost in thought. As she sadly recalls her memories of when she was happy and in love with Seo Dong Joo, Yeo Eun Nam seems to have made up her mind about something. There is a striking contrast between the couple’s blissful past and Yeo Eun Nam’s painful present, where she is trying her best to hide her sorrow.
The “Buried Hearts” production team teased, “In Episode 8, Yeo Eun Nam stands at a crossroads between her love for Seo Dong Joo and the vengeance that she has been holding inside for a very long time. Yeo Eun Nam’s life may change based on which choice she makes.”
