Arsenal May Pursue Former Man United Keeper David De Gea as Replacement for Aaron Ramsdale
According to a report from Fichajes, Arsenal has drawn up a list of candidates to replace Aaron Ramsdale, the 25-year-old goalkeeper who lost his position to David Raya and wants to leave to find a new home to have the opportunity to play more often.
David de Gea is one of the candidates Arsenal is interested in at the moment. The former Man Utd goalkeeper has been unemployed since the summer of 2023 and has not yet found a new home despite receiving interest from many teams in both Europe and Asia
De Gea promises to bring additional quality and top playing experience to Arsenal’s wooden frame in the coming period.
With a free deal, this can be considered a bargain for Arsenal with their second choice in goal.
David de Gea built his career from the Atletico Madrid youth team and emerged at the Spanish club but is known for spending 12 years with Man United.
Man Utd spent 25 million Euros to recruit the Spanish player in July 2011 and together with this goalkeeper conquered a series of big and small titles.
David de Gea won eight trophies with Manchester United, making almost 550 appearances for the club while keeping 190 clean sheets while earning a place in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year five times.
