Lionel Messi caused a stir with his super cute way of celebrating the 2022 World Cup championship with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo, children and extended family.

Lionel Messi, 35, celebrated an emotional World Cup victory with his wife, children and family at Lusail Stadium after Argentina’s dramatic final win over France.The 35-year-old Argentine captain Messi scored twice and then converted a penalty in the shootout, allowing Leo to finally get his hands on the only prestigious trophy missing from his massive trophy collection.

After receiving the Golden Ball for the best player of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar and then lifting the championship trophy with his teammates, Messi took time to enjoy the happy moment with his closest and dearest people.

Wife Antonela Roccuzzo and sons Thiago (10), Mateo (7) and Ciro (4) as well as Lionel Messi’s parents and extended family all took to the pitch to join in the celebrations. Many of them wore jerseys with Lionel Messi’s name on the back. Everyone took turns holding up the World Cup trophy, wearing Lionel Messi’s champion medal.

And Antonela Roccuzzo appeared to be wiping away tears of joy as Lionel Messi’s wife lifted the trophy and kissed it, before Messi’s children did the same. The extended Messi family also took a ‘selfie’ together, while Messi hugged and kissed his wife, who went through a range of emotions in the stands during the thrilling clash between France and Argentina in the 2022 World Cup final.

She stood up to cheer her husband after Messi converted a penalty kick in the 23rd minute to give Argentina a 1-0 lead. Everything was going smoothly for Messi as Argentina took a 2-0 lead with nine minutes to go.

But Kylian Mbappe’s lightning-fast double in one minute helped France equalize 2-2, forcing the two teams into extra time, before both PSG players Messi and Mbappe scored to send the match into a penalty shootout after 120 minutes of a 3-3 draw.

Kingsley Coman and Aurelian Tchouameni missed penalties, before Gonzalo Montiel sealed a 4-2 win for Argentina in the shootout to win the 2022 World Cup. Lionel Messi took to Instagram just hours after recreating Diego Maradona’s iconic celebration to express his overwhelming joy.

Lionel Messi’s wife Antonela Roccuzzo also took to Instagram to share some adorable family photos that made for an emotional 2022 World Cup victory celebration .

One shows all five members of Lionel Messi’s family smiling together, another shows his two young sons kissing the World Cup trophy and one shows Thiago holding a piece of net.

Antonela Roccuzzo wrote on Instagram: “World champion. I don’t even know how to start. It’s the biggest pride we have for you @leomessi.

Thank you for teaching us never to give up, you fought until the end and finally won the World Cup. We know how many years you suffered to get what you wanted! Let’s go Argentina’.
