Marian Rivera, Gabby Padilla share Best Actress Award in Cinemalaya 2024

Marian Rivera and Gabby Padilla have been named co-winners of the Best Actress Award at the Cinemalaya 2024!
Marian was hailed for her performance as Teacher Emmy in “Balota” while Gabby got the nod for her performance in “Kono Basho.”
“Tomorrow is my birthday. Thank you for the wonderful gift. I am sincerely grateful,” Marian said in her acceptance speech.
“To all the Teacher Emmys who bravely do everything to protect the people’s vote even if their own lives are in danger,” she added. “Teacher Emmy, this is for you.”
Meanwhile, “Tumandok” won Best Full Length Film and “Cross My Heart and Hope to Die” took home the trophy for Best Short Film.
