Jones injury update

Curtis Jones was forced off through injury in the first-half as Liverpool’s United States pre-season tour began with a 1-0 win over Real Betis.

Starting alongside Wataru Endo in the engine room, the 23-year-old was handed an opportunity to stake his claim for regular game time under new head coach Arne Slot after speaking of his eagerness to do so earlier in the week.

However, Jones lasted just over a half an hour against Betis thus leaving Liverpool waiting to discover the extent of the injury.
