The actor, who competed at WWE’s landmark Wrestlemania XL event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania earlier this month, trained with three wrestlers from Glasgow before the event.
Brothers Mark and Joe Coffey, and Wolfgang (real name Barry Young) form part of a trio known as ‘Gallus’ who work for WWE’s developmental brand NXT.
The Rock, who had not competed in a wrestling match in eight years, teamed alongside his cousin Roman Reigns to defeat the team of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a tag team match on Saturday, April 6.
The 51-year-old from California posed for a photo with the trio posted by Joe Coffey with the caption ‘Gallus x The Final Boss’, a nickname The Rock used in recent months.
The Rock responded on X saying: “Appreciate all the effort, ideas and hard work boys.
“Til next time. Keep kicking a** and see ya down the road.”
